Ipe and Steel Planter

A little impromptu project came together this week. Working on a small landscape intervention for a repeat client, through the design process we determined that the program called for a flexible design that allowed the client to change out sculpture and patio furniture frequently. Fixed beds and permanent screening elements limited the flexibility. A little digging and I found some local FSC certified Ipe scraps for a good price allowing us to recycle waste into a usable product. So Here you have the Ipe and Steel Planter - I'm working on a fancy name for it ISteel sounds like a titanium ipod or something.
